Gear Requirements for All Participants:

 1. (1-2) person Tent. 
 2. Sleeping Bag with Pad. 
 3. Camp Chair. 
 4. (1) Compass.(with 360 degrees on it! A GOOD one! For Night Use, must have Luminescent Accents, $50-$100 ea.)
 5. Map Case. (Gal. size Freezer Bag)
 6. (1)Grease Pencil/China Marker. 
 7. Pencil, Pen and Note book. (Be Prepared to Take NOTES! Big Time!)
 8. One or more of the following: Signal Mirror, Signal Smoke, Strobe Light, or a Whistles.
 9. Backpack. Large enough to hold everything but the Camp chair.
 10. (2) Changes of Cloths minimum. 
 11. Protective Gloves. (Cold weather optional). 
 12. Cold weather clothing. 
 13. Wet weather clothing. 
 14. Boots. 
 15. Hat. 
 16. Lip Balm. 
 17. Hand Lotion. 
 18. Personal Hygiene products. (Zip Lock bag it.)
 19. 4 Trash Bag, Large. (You Bring It, You Take It Out! NOT ME!) 
 20. Food Cooking/Eating Equipment. 
 21. Backpacker size Cook Stove and fuel. (Small Cook Fires optional Depending of Fire Season) 
 22. H2O Purification capabilities and/or Canteens/Water Jug.(6+ Gal. of Water Per Person is the Typical Consumption/Cleaning.

Must be able to walk 5 mile in a forested, cross-country setting, rain or shine carrying ALL of your camping gear in a Back Pack..

Location

For L11 Class, we begin at 8 am by meeting at "325 West Main Street, Carlton, OR. 97111" (On Hwy. 47, Between Yamhill and McMinnville), and head West on NW Meadowlake Road, 17 miles to beautiful, Dover Creek Camp Ground. I pay the Site Fees. It has a clean bathroom(s) and tent sites right next to the Nestucca River. RV's and Campers Optional at your cost of $15.00 extra, per nights stay. Please inform me at the time of Registration if you are going to have an RV/Camper. No Hook-ups of sewer or electricity available! NO Trash Cans are at this site. We conclude training around 5-6 pm each day. You can Map Quest the address to give you time and distance of travel from your location. If at all possible, PLEASE CARPOOL!

L12 and L13 Classes will be held in the Three Sisters area. We will meet at 8 am at "6906 Solarian Drive SE, Turner, Oregon 97392" and Carpool/Wagon Train to the location.

No RV's or Campers will work with L12, L13 as we will be Backpacking and Land Nav.ing our way through life. Return to Turner, OR. around 6 pm on the third day.

 

How To Register

I must have 2 weeks Advanced Notice before I can schedule a Training Date. As classes are committed to I post them on my Calendar Page. Any class that is scheduled is Open to the Public unless it is marked “PRIVATE CLASS” or “CLASS IS FULL”. PRIVATE CLASSES are a 3 Person Minimum Cost. Either way, call me before registering.
                                                                                                                                                
Step 1. Review the class that you want to take including Gear Requirements. You must have the right Gear to take full advantage of the trainings! Record the Class Code. (Example "L11, L12, or L13" are the Class Codes).
                                                                                                                             
Step 2. Click on the Calendar icon and see if your desired dates are available. If a class topic is scheduled that you are interested in then by all means please Register.
                                                                                                                                           
Step 3. Call me at 503-507-2192 and announce your Target Dates and Class Code. If the dates are open proceed to the next step. Take charge of your situation because classes can fill up quickly.

Step 4. Click on the CLASSES icon then click on the REGISTRATION icon with the same Class Code to Register. If you want to pay with our PayPal service click on the “Buy Now” icon. Or you can send a check through the U.S. Mail for the full amount of the class (Make Check out to: Survival Technologies, LLC. 6906 Solarian Drive SE, Turner, Oregon 97392). Classes will not be scheduled on the Calendar until I Receive and Clear the Check. This protects you and me from confusion. Once the Check Clears I will put it on the Calendar. I will then Contact you by E-mail or Phone confirming receipt.
                                                                                                                   
Step 5. Get your Gear together and make sure it all works and pack it away. Beg, barrow or buy what you don’t have. Don’t wait until the last minute. Pack good camping foods and drinks, adult beverages are welcome for after training hours. (Bring some for the Instructor, Ha, Ha). Remember, you bring it and you pack it out! There are No Trash Cans at this site.
